May Day: An Injury to One Is an Injury to All

On this May Day, workers across the world are rising up to demand dignity, justice, and freedom on the job. It’s a day rooted in our shared history and struggle, and this year, it carries urgent weight.

Here in the U.S., we’re witnessing a full-scale assault on working people. Thousands of union jobs have been destroyed. Union contracts are being torn apart. Core public services are under attack. From boardrooms to the highest levels of government, billionaires like Elon Musk and Donald Trump are working hand in hand to strip away our power and silence our voices.

Their attacks are not limited to the workplace—they’re targeting our families, our communities, and our right to live free from fear. Workers like Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a union member cruelly deported without due process, and Rümeysa Öztürk, detained while walking to dinner, are being punished simply for being immigrants. These are illegal, shameful actions. They are anti-worker. And they will not go unchallenged.

Because we know:

An injury to one is an injury to all.

We refuse to let billionaires divide us based on where we come from or what language we speak. This May Day, we recommit ourselves to solidarity. We stand shoulder to shoulder with immigrant workers, union siblings, and all working families who are under threat.

We will fight back against the attacks on our unions, our jobs, our contracts, and our freedoms—because our unity is our power.
