Jared Ross

Jared Ross serves as an Executive Board Member of the Pierce County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO and is a member of LiUNA Local 252. He currently works as Executive Secretary for the South Sound Building & Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO, where he supports coordination and advocacy across the region’s building trades. Jared brings extensive experience to his leadership, with 19 years as a union representative and 25 years as a union laborer, grounding his work in firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing working people.

Jared serves as Co-Chair of the City of Tacoma LEAP program, participates as a delegate to the Pierce County Central Labor Council, the Thurston-Lewis-Mason Central Labor Council, and the Twin Harbors Central Labor Council, and contributes to community infrastructure planning through the Tacoma Streets Initiative Advisory Board. Throughout his career, organizing in all its forms has remained a central passion, guiding his commitment to strengthening worker power and expanding opportunity across industries.

Originally from Kendallville, Indiana and now based in Chehalis, Washington, Jared remains closely connected to the South Sound labor community and brings a strong sense of solidarity and regional perspective to his work.
