Amber Roulst
Amber Roulst is an Executive Board Member of the Pierce County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO and a member of IAM District 751 Local C. She works as a Business Representative and has 18 years experience in the labor movement.
Amber’s union journey began through volunteer involvement, where her enthusiasm for supporting fellow members quickly grew into leadership roles within her local. She served as Conductor Sentinel and later Vice President before making history as the first female President of Local C in District 751. After nearly a year as an Organizing Apprentice, Amber joined staff as a Business Representative in March 2024, continuing her work to strengthen organizing efforts and support union members on the job. She also contributes to broader labor and equity initiatives as Co-Chair of the District 751 Women’s Committee, a member of King County and International Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW), and an APALA member.
Born and raised in Tacoma, Amber has remained deeply connected to the South Sound. Outside of her labor work, Amber values time with her family (especially her “SONshine” ☀️) and is proud to stand alongside fellow leaders at PCCLC working collectively to improve conditions for working people.
