Children's Christmas Party marks 41st year aiding low income families

For the 41st year, the Bloomington & Normal Trades & Labor Assembly (AFL-CIO) and the McLean County Chamber of Commerce co-sponsored with local businesses the annual Christmas Party for low-income families.

The event was Saturday, December 9, 9 a.m. – 12 noon, with a food and toy distribution at the Midwest Food Bank in Normal.  

The annual event is sponsored by the Bloomington & Normal Trades & Labor Assembly (AFL-CIO), McLean County Chamber of Commerce, the Pantagraph. the Midwest Food Bank and Business Builders. 

Over 1,800 children in 400 families were served.  Each family receives a food basket, turkey or ham and an age appropriate toy for their child.
