Representative Collin Peterson received the endorsement of the Minnesota AFL-CIO on March 10, 2020. Congressman Peterson, of Minnesota's Seventh Congressional District, has been a friend of labor for many years and is strong on labor's issues, including trade, collective bargaining and prevailing wage,

In the 2019-20 Congress he co-sponsored and voted for the Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO Act), the biggest piece of pro-labor legislation in decades. He voted for the Raise the Wage Act, legislation that would increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour and is co-sponsor of the United Postal Service Fairness Act on pension funding. Additionally, he voted to repeal the deadline for states to pass the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).

The Minnsota AFL-CIO also endorsed U. S. Senator Tina Smith for re-election and Dan Feehan for election to the First Congressional District.  Additional endorsements are expected in the future.
