Annual Peter J. McGuire Labor Day Observance and Scholarship Award Breakfast 2022

  On September 2, 2022 Southern New Jersey Labor Council held our annual Peter J. McGuire Labor Day Observance and Scholarship award breakfast.

  SNJ CLC president Sam Ferraino welcomed all 27 Scholarship recipients, their families, our Union members, Shop Stewards, our Labor Union Affiliates and dignitaries. Without our great SNJ CLC affiliates and their membership none of the scholarships being awarded today and celebrating Peter J McGuire would be possible. Camden County Commissioner, Jonathan L. Young Sr. from United Brotherhood of Carpenters Labor Union received the well-deserved 2022 George E. Norcross, Jr. Humanitarian Award.

  In attendance were many strong Union and Labor friendly leaders and elected officials from Camden, Gloucester, Salem, and Cumberland Counties.

  We were honored to have South Jersey’s own Congressman Donald Norcross, Honorable Senator Stephen Sweeney, Assembly Speaker Craig J Coughlin, Governor Phil Murphy and Robert Aasaro-Angelo Commissioner NJ LWD speak to everyone in attendance.

We are looking forward to next year’s annual event.
