The members and affiliates of the NWPA Area Labor Federation have reason to be proud. Our organization was formed in November of 2005 but began functioning on January 1, 2006, with a bank account of $0.00. In the past 13 1/2 years, we taught numerous educational classes, done several fundraisers and received donations and sponsorship from our members and affiliates that have enabled us to create 3 scholarships and one contest to help the youth with additional funding for their continued education. Including this year's winners, we will have given a total of $13,400.00 in awards. We currently have a balance of just over $22,900 in our Education Fund and are working towards perpetually funding these scholarships and contests, which will require approximately $56,000.
