NWPA ALF Labor Day Video Montage -Virtual Labor Day Parade

The NWPA Area Labor Federation is proud of its tradition of holding a Labor Day Parade in Erie, every year since 2015. We were determined to continue that tradition in spite of this pandemic. We began thinking outside the box and came up with a way of giving our communities a Labor Day Parade this year that was safe for everyone to enjoy. Here is what we did…

We created a video montage of snippets of the units in the last 5 years of NWPA Area Labor Federation’s Labor Day Parades. Elizabeth Ricketts a professor from the history department of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania created a video intro for the parade; talking about the history of Labor Day. Anne Feeney, Mike Stout, and Tom Breiding union singers/songwriters provided the music for the soundtracks of the video montage. Thanks to the assistance of Community Access Media we created a virtual Labor Day Parade as a tribute to labor.

We invite everyone to join us and view this virtual tribute to labor!

We are looking forward to the 2021 NWPA ALF Labor Day Parade on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021. Pencil this in your calendar and plan to join us then, please.

If you have comments or questions about the video montage, contact Rosann at 814-360-8336 or email her at [email protected].

We would really appreciate any help you can be in informing and inviting everyone to join us

Thank you!
