Dear Jon, It has been some time since my last update to you as we continue to patiently wait and cooperate with city planning officials and environmental consultants to complete a Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) that further analyzes all concerns laid forth by city planning officials, while allowing our project to come back to the City Council later this summer for consideration and potential approval more than a year after the Council directed staff to work with us as the applicants to complete our FEIR. While we eagerly await the release of that report and come closer to what we hope is a certified EIR and a clear path toward project approval, we are pleased to report that we have addressed questions and made updates to our Economic Benefits Report and Lemon Street Maintenance and Improvement Plan (you can view the updated Economic Benefits Report by clicking here, or view the updated report regarding Lemon Street maintenance by clicking here). As we move forward, we will be sure to let you know about our progression towards the completion of the FEIR, which we hope is released within a matter of days if not weeks, in advance of a City Council hearing on the project this summer, perhaps in July or August. At that time, it will be more important than ever to redouble our efforts and let the City Council know why you support the Orcem/Vallejo Marine Terminal project through participation at public hearings, letters to the editor and more. In the meantime, I thank you for your continued involvement, interest and support of our project! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns in the interim. All my best, Steve Bryan President Orcem Americas |
