James Rodrigues

James Rodrigues is a 28 year retired laborer from LiUNA local 1298 out of Long Island New York. He relocated to central Florida in 2006 during the great recession and was out of work for over a year. James started working at Marion County where he witnessed many injustices due to low salary, no repersentation, a very backwards system, and a general anti working family enviroment. 

James reached out to his union LiUNA and aided in the organization of the new Marion Couty unit. He now sits on the Executive Board for Liuna Laborers Local 517 and is a delegate to the North Central Florida CLC where he sites on the Execative Board as a trustee. 

James is now in his 41st year as a dues paying member of LiUNA and is known as a tireless fighter for working famileis throughout Central Florida.
