Take action to support quality healthcare in the North Bay!

Workers at Providence St. Joseph's Hospital have been raising concerns about short staffing since before the 2016 merger between Providence and St. Joseph Health--and have reported that the staffing shortage has only worsened under the merger, seriously harming patient care. Now PSJH is trying to fast-track a merger with Adventist Health, and the Attorney General is moving it forward without a required evaluation of the potential negative impacts it could have on healthcare access for our rural communities.

On August 22nd, 11:30am to 1:30pm, NUHW will be holding informational pickets to educate the public on these issues at four PSJH hospitals: Queen of the Valley, Petaluma Valley, Redwood Memorial Hospital in Fortuna, and St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka.

You can support our efforts to call attention to the dangerous short-staffing and poor working conditions at PSJ hospitals, by joining our action at Petaluma Valley Hospital, or any of the other above hospitals. See attached flyer for details.
