Emergency Financial Assistance

Emergency Financial Assistance grants are available through Working Partnerships for eligible union members who live in Hennepin, Anoka, Scott, Carver, Wright, Meeker, and McLeod counties. These are once in a lifetime grants, and the amount of funding allowed individuals is subject to change based on needs and/or the availability of funding.

Emergency Food Assistance

The Emergency Food Assistance Program is available through Working Partnerships with support from member Unions of the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation, Greater Twin Cities United Way, and the contributions from individuals. Eligible Union members must live in Hennepin, Anoka, Scott, Carver, Wright, Meeker, and McLeod counties.

Bridge to Benefits

Bridge to Benefits is an online screening tool that can help you determine whether or not your household is eligible for a number of assistance programs, including energy assistance and cash assistance.

United Way 2-1-1

United Way 2-1-1 is your community help line. Questions regarding financial assistance, food assistance, counseling, childcare, recreation, and more can be answered by a 2-1-1 operator, 24/7. Just dial 2-1-1 on a landline phone, or 651-291-0211 from a cell phone in order to connect to a 2-1-1 operator today.

County Assistance

To see if you qualify for county assistance, contact the county in which you live. Also, to qualify for some non-profit assistance programs, you may have to be formally turned down by the county, so it can benefit you either way to determine if you're eligible. Call United Way 2-1-1 for contact information, or use the web sites listed below:
