Kevin Bradshaw was elected as President of the Memphis Central Labor Council January 2022. His dedication to organized labor spans more than 23 years, and as a result, he has dedicated himself to continued professional development. He has completed multiple courses for organizing and leadership at the Maritime Institute and the National AFL-CIO Organizing Institute. President Bradshaw has received numerous awards for leadership, such as the Martin Luther King Leadership Award from the SCLC Memphis and recently from the TN AFL-CIO Presidential Award. He has been honored by several organizations for his leadership and community service, and he has appeared on television and national radio broadcasts and has also spoken at The White House.

In 2013, while serving as President of BCTGM Local 252G, Kevin supported, organized, and led 226 Kellogg employees who had been illegally locked out for ten months with no wages, benefits, or insurance. This major attack on the working class gained national and international attention.Under Kevin’s leadership, organizing, communication, and help and support from Politicians on Capitol Hill, international union BCTGM, SCLC, NAACP, Judges, Lawyers, Clergy, community organizations, several unions, and their members worldwide assisted in the fight and return those employees back to work that August. 

President Bradshaw is the current President of C.B.T.U. (Coalition of Black Trade Unions) Memphis. Which is recognized by the the National AFL-CIO and was co-founded in 1972 by Mr. William "Bill" Lucy. He also serves on the board for Shelby County Workforce Development, which oversees a multimillion-dollar budget to support the workforce efforts of the Greater Memphis Region to ensure employers properly train & develop employees and create job growth in the area. Kevin also serves on the Board of Directors for Regional One Hospital also known as The Med.He can often be heard stating, “Labor is and always will be the backbone of America.”
