Many of our members are highly engaged and knowledgeable when it comes to elections. Donald Trump's dangerous, fake conspiracies about voting aren't going to keep us from making sure our vote is counted.
But for millions of potential voters, his campaign to sow discord, confusion, and doubt on November's election results could have devastating consequences.
Most potential voters are likely to get their election information from Sinclair-skewed local news or Facebook posts and ads that privilege right-wing propaganda. Which means every day, they are bombarded with Trump Inc's nonsense. Many voters may have no idea that vote-by-mail continues to be secure and safe, and that there is no widespread voter fraud in this country.
Making sure that potential voters have accurate information and are making a plan to cast their ballot in a way that keeps them safe and ensures their vote is counted is a top priority. Make a plan to vote, finding localized information and addressing right-wing disinformation. Voting by mail is meaningful in helping fight back against Trump's voter suppression campaign.
