Nelson Hill

Nelson Hill has been representing and organizing union members since 1991. He became the President of the Delaware State AFL-CIO in January 2025. As a Vice President and Executive Assistant to the President of UFCW Local 27, Nelson is a strong believer in the strength and necessity of Solidarity between Labor Unions.

He currently serves on the Advisory Board for UFCW International Union and on the Board of Directors for the UFCW Minority Coalition Board. Nelson is a current member of Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, a Trustee on the FELRA & UFCW Health & Welfare Fund, a Trustee on the UFCW Regional Pension Fund, a trustee on the UFCW Local 152 Health and Welfare Fund, a Prince Hall Mason, and has previously served in the Delaware Army National Guard.

He is passionate about organizing and empowering people to change their lives for the better. Nelson was awarded the UFCW Region 2’s “2018 Local Union Organizer of the Year Award.” He is married to the love of his life Alisa, and they reside in Camden, Delaware.
