Labor takes elections seriously. All of the endorsed candidates filled out detailed questionnaires on the issues affecting working people. Each of them signed a pledge to represent working people fairly. They were interviewed intensely by small groups of union activists, who then made recommendations to the AFL-CIO leadership. Most of the candidates can be seen on a short video from the candidates' training at the West Dallas Library.

The unions call on all members and allies to do everything possible to make sure our chosen candidates are elected.

Labor Supports Mega March

The AFL-CIO is not backing down on support for the rights of all workers, including immigrants and refugees. Dallas labor will participate in the Mega March being planned for April 9. It starts at 2PM at the Cathedral of Guadalupe on Ross Street downtown. People are signing up on Facebook.

Organizers hope to repeat the gigantic turnout of 500,000 from the 2006 Mega March.
